Here we go!

The XI North American Lithuanian Song Festival “One Family – One Nation” will take place in Cleveland, Ohio in June of 2025. It is an event with special meaning for Lithuanians living in the United States and Canada. The 10th song festival took place in 2015. After such a long interval, this song festival will be a rebirth of choral music and choral singing in the diaspora.

The upcoming song festival in 2025 promises to be entertaining, inspiring, and youthful. It will be reflective of our life in these times. The festival program includes both original compositions and traditional folk songs. Theatrical and spoken interludes will connect the audience to the performers, and song themes will be enriched by the interpretion of dancers.

A significant part of the song festival will be a dedication to the summer camps that have been established and are still operating successfully in the diaspora and the importance of the art, dance and music programs taught there. These diaspora programs are our Lithuania – our bond with nature, traditions, and Lithuania‘s history. The song festival will be a celebration of our families and the Lithuania we have created and carry with us in our hearts.

The artistic directors of the 11th Lithuanian Song Festival in North America are the youthful and energetic Kristina Kliorys and Aleksandras Stankevičius. They have extensive experience in organizing choral concerts, various festivals and commemorations, larger and smaller events, as well as performing shows of their own compositions.

The song festival repertoire will be presented in August 2024 at the choir directors‘ seminar in camp Dainava. We look forward to seeing our choral leaders in a few months, and we invite everyone to save the date and include the XI North American Lithuanian Song Festival “One Family – One Nation” over June 27-29, 2025 in Cleveland, Ohio in next summer‘s vacation plans.
