Having the XI North American Lithuanian Song Festival in Cleveland marks a historic milestone as the first time this event will be hosted in city history and over 40 years since Cleveland hosted the VII North American Lithuanian Folk Dance Festival in 1984. We are incredibly lucky and grateful to have a local organization like PLĖTRA that can be instrumental in realizing this magnificent, once-in-a-lifetime event.

The Bascom Little Fund
The Bascom Little Fund is a charitable trust created for the promotion of music by modern Northeast Ohio composers. We are so grateful for their support of the festival theme song Viena šeima – Viena tauta (One Family – One Nation) as well as Ar žinai tu, klajūne, keleivi? (Do you know, o wandering traveler?) written by Cleveland native Rita Čyvas-Kliorys. Lyrics of both pieces are also written by Clevelanders, Nijolė Kersnauskas and Aušrinė Širvinskas, respectively. Thank you to Bascom Little for helping bring these works to life.
